I was in class on January 29, but it did not show up on my blog. It was on somewhere else.
In Carrie Underwood's, "Before He Cheats", she is criticizing woman for causing their men to cheat on them. Yes, it is empowering for women because it gives women an example of how they should stand up for themselves against men for cheating on them. It shows that women should not put up with cheaters.
In Miley Cyrus's, "Wrecking Ball", she is criticizing herself and men loving a woman, then leaving them, brokenhearted. I feel like it is empowering for women because it shows the pain a woman feels after being left by the one person she loved the most. I feel like Miley Cyrus was criticized more for this video than Carrie Underwood was because she was sitting on a wrecking ball, naked. This shows a more wild approach, while Carrie Underwood's video was more under control.
